My Own Industry Specific Search Engine?

I am wanting to put toogether a site that will search 10-15 sites and then produce the results. What tools are out there to do that?

I do not know anything about this but I Might be able to get by with searching them in real time? Or I could index them 2 times per month as they do not change much.

is that what you are looking for or do you want to house the technology yourself too?

I am not sure if any of the site level searches let you cross sites with their technologies, though www.atomz.com and www.freefind.com are two of the better site level search technologies on the market right now from what I have been told.
