I think the blog award site has been up a few years, but Nick's site is new... so we must all vote for it :D

Aaron, of course we'll all vote as we see per value and also - as insofar as we see value in awards sites overall. But just to get it straight for a timeline, here is a partial of the whois info of the site

I forgot all about using awards as a strategy for developing links - guess it's still around after all, huh? With a whole new twist added to it now - that's one smart dude there

Same guy as this one. Took six months from launch for the award promotion to roll out for that one last year, now he started another one this year, only 2-1/2 months after launch of the new site, piggy-backing on the PR and linkpop from the other one and now, generating a whole new generation of links for the new one with this award campaign that links back to the original.

Very savvy, it must be generating an astounding level of income. One heck of a business model he's got there - hats off to him.

lol Not a very good thing to be associated with... it appears this chap has many blogs out there. I stopped at discovering one more. No need to go further.

Nah, I don't see any problem being associated with it, Doug.
I do apologize though, I think I got a little carried away and half-way hijacked this thread. But it's a fascinating concept and a very interesting discovery altogether from where I sit.

I voted Threadwatch, regardless of the dynamics of the voting system itself. :)

Threadwatch is a really great resource. It enables me to view quality posts on multiple forums without spending hours wading through low quality and redunant posts. With all the different fourms now available its almost impossible to monitor them all and not miss a good post. Congrats to Nick on being nominated and saving me a bunch of time everyday.

Nick, you have great competition. Gizmodo is one of my favorite blogs, but I hope you win ;)
Nice find Marcia. What a sad little site.
