I started doing a little bit of research for my employer into services that provide in-site search tools. Most of these offer relatively cheap yearly rates and variable services that my particular company might find useful:

http://www.searchtools.com/tools/fusionbot.html
http://www.searchtools.com/tools/crawl-it.html
http://www.searchtools.com/tools/freefind.html
http://www.searchtools.com/tools/picosearch.html

Problem is, a lot of our site is in a password protected ASP-based area and these hosted services don't seem to cover ASP or password protected pages.

Are there any installed packages that anyone can recommend that are better at indexing ASP pages? I'm looking for a mid range, mid price package. Clearly the cheaper the better, but functionality is a must.

The site is HTML and ASP based primarily, with under 500 pages spread out over two servers. If any packages can handle multiple servers that would be a best case scenerio, but I would not have a problem configuring a solid, good search tool twice, once for each server. There should be no advertisements in search results and no external search options (a la google site search).

Thanks for the help.

PS. I've been taking advice from the regular posters for about three years now and the advice has been so good that THIS is the first time I have had to post my own question!
