Dynamic Titles

Hi guys.
I'm new around and I hope you guys can help me out. I basiclly have one question and your answers will be greatily appreciated,

I have web site directory that lists many other web sites in different categories. I recently told my programmer to make it possible for dynamic titles i.e when one clicks on a category or sub category, a chosen and suitable pre-determinated title is generated. After this change, the search engines have been able to list all the categories and subcategories, something that was impossible before the change when I just had one title for all pages. The site is coded in php.

My question is now, how can I create a category site description for each category/subcategory? Right now the search engines has indexed all the categories/sub-categories with the main site description. I want to be able to creat a unique pre-determined site category description for each category/sub category.

I'm sure you category names are all stored in a database. Just add more fields to allow for descriptions, body text, meta tags, etc per category or subcategory.
