Hey everybody,

I'm a little irritated with how slow Google adds features to their AdSense program compared to how quickly they add features to the AdWords program, especially considering that a full 50% of their revenue is generated from the AdSense program.

Almost all large affiliate programs offer direct deposit--but not Google, not for AdSense. And yet with AdWords they have the ability to draw money directly from your bank account, so I know they have incorporated the ACH technology in other systems.

Am I the only one irritated by this?

newsguy, the AdWords advertisers are their customers, we're not. The customers are the ones who shell out all the money in the first place; without them none of us would have the revenue we do.

Personally, I feel that the fewer features they add for publishers the better it may end up being for us. Anything that costs them money to implement could end up being compensated for by cutting the percentage of our "commissions" - which is actually what we're getting, considering that we're sending the "leads" to them. The more cost-effectively they run the program the better it is for us.

You would probably be surprised at the wide range of features being beta tested by various regular publishers. There are a lot of different (and some amazing) beta tests currently running right now. And some of those beta tests do eventually make it from beta to a regular feature. I would rather AdSense tests something well than unleash something on unsuspecting publishers that isn't all it is cracked up to be.

Keeping an eye on premium publishers will also give you hints at what will eventually be brought down to the regular publishers - many features we now have were given to all premium publishers first.
