Hello do you know if Bing broad match is as broad as adwords broad match?

Hi Dannyb

I would probably guess it that it was.

The 'broad' essentially means that you can have your search term / keyword in any combination and with other words. Basically most searches performed are broad searches

Of course, the data is driven by MSN and not by AdWords/Google so the amount of clicks and value you get could be very different.

Also Broad Matched items are very expensive compared to phrase match ("") or exact ([])

Hope that helps

Broad are cheaper most of the time in my experience, compared to exact and phrase.

I have found long tail exact is cheaper and generally even reg exact will be cheaper as it does not get expanded and get unwanted clicks

I guess it depends on the perspective. I meant the CPC rather than overall CPC of broad. Broad can fluctuate so much for individual CPC as it expands so much. One minute the price is cheap for a longtail, the next up higher for a more competitive exact. But I agree that broad is more expensive for overall CPC, most definitely
