Ranking well Worldwide but not USA

I have a couple of sites that are ranking well on Yahoo (worldwide setting) and also on AltaVista and AllTheWeb. But when I limit my search to USA they don't rank at all. They are all .com's, hosted in the USA...How can I tell Yahoo to include them in the USA only SERPs?

Two questions:

The hosting company may be in the US, but are you sure the physical server location is in the US?

And, are you searching from within the US yourself, or from outside the US?

1) Yes, they are actually on several different hosting companies, all of which are major US hosting providers

2) Yes, searching from US on Baby Bell DSL connection
