Multiple domains

Okay... I know this might be a stupid question...

If you have Company ABC, and they have two domains. www.companyabc.com and www.companyabc.net. Does Google dislike having one domain redirect to the other? There's only one site, but two domains. I would think that would be okay, but i'm not 100% sure.

Google handles redirects fine, but Yahoo has a bit of a problem with them. If you must, redirect the .net to the .com since that's generally what people type in when going direct to a site. And make sure it's a 301 redirect not a 302.

Agreed! Google will handle it fine, but Yahoo! will have a problem with it. They have said on numerous occasions that they are working on the problem, but I have not seen any changes as of yet. Good Luck :)
