View Full Version : Strongest Brand?
Which search engine optimisation agency has the strongest/most recognised brand?
Which is the most recognised American or Canadian SEO agency?
Which is the most recognised mainland European or UK SEO agency?
Which is the most recognised Australian or New Zealand SEO agency?
It might be hard to answer all three but it should be easy to name a big branded SEO agency in your local area. Who springs to mind first?

well, many come to mind. I would suggest searching for the service and form your own opinion.
Thanks for bumping this unpopular orphan of a thread :)
I have my own opinion. I was curious to know what other people's opinions were.
The conclusion I drew was that no one cared/wanted to speak out on the subject rather than no one else had an opinion.

Well share your thoughts then :)
Most recognised UK I would say Makemetop
Most recognised USA I would say High Rankings
Just my thoughts though... :)

Good call Sem4u. To be honest I was trying (way back when I posted this first) to be a bit cheeky and do a live experiement. My theory was that the forum users would talk about those agencies/companies which have a high profile in the forums. High Rankings, of course, has high rankings too! The flip side is that there are glossy marketing / advertising magazines which frequently talk about SEO and which never mention some of the agencies we all know well.
For example, the likes of iProspect and SEOInc strike me as two of the famous ones in the US, perhaps iCrossing. In the UK it would be bigmouthmedia, Greenlight and Spannerworks. Then there's mSearch which used to be AdvancedPosition. In theory they're part of the biggest of the lot but I can't guage how well known they are but perhaps this is due to the recent rebranding.

once you learn a bit about the various business models you see that brand does not necissarily corrilate w quality of service. brand can be an input into the equasion of who is good but people should look at many other factors as well.
BTW I too think MakeMeTop is awesome based on his forum posts, his knowledge of the business, and the short time I got to chat w him in London
there are lots of good people in the SEM industry

Quite. This industry is pretty lucky; full of cool people :)
I'm interested in what people thought were the strongest brands though. I guess the debate about the "worth of brand" could almost live in a different thread entirely.
