I am sure this will be a common question.
regarding the new GAP program August 2009
Hey AdWordsRep (http://forums.searchenginewatch.com/member.php?u=832) - Could you throw a paper airplane to the
person running this ride.

Google has introduced its new program allowing individuals to register GAP (Google Advertising Professional) Status under individual accounts (Finally!), then associate them with Companies. The problem my GAP is registered under our old MCC, along with everyone else.

I passed the exam in 2008 under my old MCC (its good for 2 years),

I've registered the old MCC into the program which now shows our Google company status - With our GAP qualified individuals (Fine)

I now wish to associate my GAP status as an individual, which is the entire point of the new GAP program. Of course there is no option! This is putting a dent into my plans of running off to a tropical island with a laptop, and a suitcase of money.
(GAP delusion?)

Please if anyone at Google is hearing this...ahem AdWordsRep (http://forums.searchenginewatch.com/member.php?u=832)
an answer would help a lot of us out here.. in GAP limbo.

I'm posting the following link and my findings regarding the NEW GAP 2009,
The Google Adwords Professional Program 2009.

I'm disappointed to say the least. (Read Posts)

Be advised that your GAP certification under the old system
can't (won't?) be transfered, to individual accounts.

It's not the money $50.00 but the principle of the issue.
I do not expect Google to bend over backwords, but I am hoping that a member of the 2009 GAP team can answer those of us who have GAP qualification and wish to transfer to personal accounts. Its frustrating to say the least.

Perhaps Google could offer a one time internal credit for those of us in this situation towards the new test so we can re-qualify under new profile accounts at no charge?

Either way I hope Google can clarify the issue for old Google Adwords professional accounts.
