OK, I know there are many threads regarding cloaked links - is there a way to get to the source page to see how they are optimizing?
A main competitor of mine is using a key e*bay phrase. He shows up on the first page with his page wintermute.homelinux.org/access-my-ebay.html
but you arrive at porn instead!
His page is also not caching - so he must have requested it not to, from what I have learned. ????????????????????

in this case he's bouncing traffic at the server level using 302 redirects. The adult site it lands on is actually server #6. There are 5 bounces through various counters and trackers. I tried the old babelfish check for cloaking but nada...if you have browser that you can change your UserAgent with (like Firefox) change to a Googlebot UA and see what you get.

and by all means report that to Google as well. Kudos to him for pulling it off (you don't see the old bait and switch much anymore) but this is one of the very few things I think should be reported to a search engine.

thanks, guys - this is so way over my head - I did report him to Google a few days ago, but from what I have read on these threads, google will not do anything - and I being greener than grass do not know the appropriate next steps. - tressa
P.S. Yes, I wanted to add that it was disturbing, because anyone (child) could innocently arrive at his many sites.

Hi Tressa,
Its actually been my experience that the ONE kind of spam that Google will act on immediately is a deceptive site which redirects to porn. As Todd said - this is really the worst kind of deception - especially to Google.
