Hi guys, I'm new. :)

I'm looking for professional looking web templates that are also search engine optimized. We are currently building a content-rich magazine site and we wanted to use a template to get our web design going.

We're going for the Apple.com platinum look, if that helps. We also prefer css, dreamweaver compatible and drop-down menus (if they don't hurt search engine results).

Thanks in advance!

one of the best resources for templates out there is

freesitetemplates.com

not sure how many of them are optimized for search, but I would assume some are pretty clean.

Wow, first reply and it came from a mod. Is that like getting a checkered cab?

Thanks for the help Elisabeth, I will check that out right now.

BTW, we are willing to pay for these templates (ranging from $50-500), so your suggestions do not necessarily have to be free ones (but free is certainly nice ;) )

i really like the templates at perfectory.com -- they have a ton of templates, so i'm sure they have some that are SE friendly.

One of my favorite places is templatemonster.com

You can even pay a premium on a particular template in order to prevent anyone else from using it, if you wish.

Thanks Ian, kidmercury. I checked out the two sites and I really like a lot of the templates they have to offer. :)

Update:

We are considering purchasing a template from templatemonster. I'll post a link when we are done customizing the template. Thanks again! :)
