Hi,
I was checking some Google searches before demonstrating them to students here in Dublin.
I was using the advanced search option and using AND OR NOT operators.
I got results like:
Beer OR Guinness 4,380,000
Beer AND Guinness 188,000
Beer NOT Guinness (enter as Beer -Guinness) 7,920,000.
This doesn't make sense - how are there more items about (beer other than Guinness), than about (either beer or Guinness)?
The items retrieved make sense, i.e. the 3rd lot are about Budweiser etc.
I've tried this for several topics with the same pattern of items retrieved.
Can anyone cast any light on this?
