What is the best tool to report Google keyword search rankings? We have about 100 keyword phrases, and I'd like to see a weekly or monthly report on our Google position for each keyword phrase. I'd also like to see trend graphs that show changes to our position over time for each keyword phrase. I'm willing to consider both free and paid tools, and both desktop software and web applications. We're primarily interested in Google, but support for other search engines would be a plus, namely Yahoo. Thanks in advance for any advice.
seobook.com do a fantastic plug-in for firefox called rankchecker.
You can set it to run automatically at whatever interval you want, and you can export the historical results as a csv, which you can then conditionally format to make the layout attractive, and make graphs from the data
You can define the search engines used, including google by country.

Wow! That's exactly what I was looking for. Might require a little manual monkeying around to create trend reports, but I'll suffer that for the sake of simplicity. Previously we'd used Axandra IBP and Advanced Web Ranking, and those have so many "value added" features that they're a pain to use. Rank Checker is simple and straight forward.
Can anyone tell me why I might not want to use Rank Checker?
