I was checking Google Analytics (GA) this morning and my site was visited by Performance Systems International Inc., according to GA, they came from Huntington Park, California. I did some checking on the internet for performance systems international inc. and one of the results was for "Performance Systems International" which claims to be a company specializing in web based solutions. I don't know if these are the people who visted my site, though. The thing that alarms me is that many of the hits for Performance Systems International Inc. are from blogs, etc. who say that they are hackers and who use a bot that steals information, destroys traffic and produces excessive clicks on Google ads. To me that is click bombing. I haven't seen any increased clicks today but I'm concerned about this. Other sites speculate that they operate out of Wash. D.C. and remove Google links from sites who post content that they dislike or don't agree with. I operate a Google blog (blogger). But Google doesn't give much advice for how to protect blogs from attacks, they have no customer service to help with such things. How do I stop this bot from coming to my site? Can Performance Systems International Inc. or other companies interfere with site traffic?
I operate an honest site. To read that there are people out there who try to destroy traffic is very alarming.
To the moderators, I hope this thread is allowed in this forum. As it relates to analytics I thought this would be the proper place to make the posting.
