I am from the design world, and I primarily use a Powerbook G4 with OSX. I know that the world is PC Dominated, but are there any cool programs / resources that could work on a Mac. I am a newbe so please do not come down on me too hard...smiles
Thank you all in advance for your assistance. I am learning.

Hi Shannon,
I've been using a Mac for the last few years and you really don't need a lot of fancy software to do SEO.
These are not even exclusive to the Mac but I find them handy.
First get the Mozilla or Firefox browser...
Then install this browser extension http://quirk.co.za/searchstatus/ I don't place a lot of faith in the PageRank indicator or Alexa indicator but the backlink checker it a great time saver.
Another great tool is Jux2 (http://jux2.com) and even better the Jux2 browser button (http://jux2.com/bbutton.php) which will help check rankings.
There are also a lot of other web based tools around that work just fine for Mac users. :)

Yeah i was wondering how I could get the same benefits as the google toolbar. They dont make some of that cool stuff for mac. Since alot more people are getting imacs etc, I am suprised more developers are not making for the platform.
Thanks for the tips...keep them coming please...

I hear people raving about the google toolbar and what it shows in reference to SEO/SEM. Is that just marketing by google then? Keep in mind I am a newbie...so I am learning.

The toolbar shows a page rank thingy that is widely accepted as innacurate and the number of inbound links to that page which is also innacurate.
There are also privacy issues here.

There's at least two browser extensions for Mozilla and Firefox that will give you Page Rank. One's called Googlebar, I think.

It is good to see you again. It has been too long buddy!
I have used VirtualPC with Internet Explorer and the toolbar installed...works great.
