I'm seeing the new QS now on my accounts. No more MinBids, or inactive keywords, just an "estimated bid to show on first page". So far there are no surprises, all my ads are running as expected and ad ranks are unchanged. Pretty much transparent so far. Will continue to monitor.

I'm seeing it in my accounts too! No surprises yet here as well, although I'm finding that the "min. bid to display on the first page" is inaccurate, to the low side. I actually hope it stays that way!

Seeing it here as well. Other than one instance of a keyword with a $40 minimum first page bid, all looks good at the moment.

having problems with quality score as usual. I don't understand why because my keywords and landing pages match up...
my accounts are mainly competition/prize draw related sites - doe's anyone know if google marks these down more than info & shopping sites?
help! all the other se's I use like my landing pages with the same keywords.

polarcheery, Quality Score is a bit more 'depthy' (as my Southern friend with the three Masters Degrees says) than simply having one's keywords on the landing page - or even having one's landing page be about the same thing as the keywords. It also goes to a user's experience on that page, page load time, etc.
Here's a bit more info on the basics of Quality Score

A truly vast amount of additional information may be found by starting with the four links on this page:

There are some types of sites that tend to earn lower Quality Scores, as detailed here:

Thanks Adrep - it makes sense now after reading the above why I struggle so much on non competition site based keywords.
i.e. if I was to have 'competition, prizedraw, win stuff' etc, there would be no problem with quality scores.
BUT if I try to use something like an actual product that the competition relates to (ie. high street brand voucher etc), then quality score is low... and normally after a few hours the min price is so high I can't afford to continue.
ok at least now I know what the guidelines are.
thanks again.
