Why does PageRank fluctuate

Hi,

The PageRank is different for the same webpage, when I checked on two different computers. One computer is showing X pagerank while another computer is showing Y pagerank for the same webpage.

There is no way that the data base is retrieving from two different Google datacenters, because, I am operating this in my office. But we have different internet providers. Is that a reason, Please help me out from this.

It sounds like it still might be pulling from 2 different data centers.

But how come it possible within the same office, that too same internet provider connection.

There are two different computers in my office connected to same internet service provider, but showing different pagerank for the same webpage.

You are see another Google server PageRank. I mean, your site is "young", or newly modified.

What url you used for that have u used different urls I mean it may be possible that u used www.example.com in one computer and in another computer you might used only domain.com.

It happens many times that different pages of a website are having different PRs so it might have happened that u have seen Page ranks of different pages and got confused. please check it out again.:)

It usually relies on back links, if you are continue building high PR back links chances of increasing PR is more. However no one can give guarantee for the same nor Google.

You can hit different datacenters at any time. I have hot different ones using firefox vs internet explorer on th same machine at the same time. It all depends on what DC decides to give you page rank info at that time.

Dont worry about it, what teh Toolbar is telling you isnt right anyways! Its a snapshot from some random point in the past. It is not an accurate measure of "PR"

The toolbar PR value is only an abstraction of the actual PR score. It only gets updated every so often and whereas actual PR score gets updated all the time.

As it is PR of a website has got nothing much to do with actual ranking of your website so no need to worry much:)

The Page Rank fluctuates due to Google Dance. Before, the dance occurred quarterly. But now its different. I don't know why
