Why do I have to redo my iGoogle home page all the time?

Google every once in awhile takes away my choices for my home page items and makes me redo the whole thing. I hate that. I have what I want and I don't need any more "JUNK" on my home page. Is there another search engine that doesn't do that to you so I can just enter some preferences and leave it that way. I spend enough time on this dumb machine as it is. I don't need more unnecessary work to do. Thanks, Sharon

These choices Google seems to take away, are they in your iGoogle?

Are you logged in when you save your homepage, and are you logged in with the same username when you seem to be seeing changes?
