I want to create my own directory of websites. The directory would in effect be my website. As well as downloading useful websites and maybe putting them in certain categories it would be useful to retrieve information from individual websites and the web as well.

I want the search to provide photographs that are larger than thumbail.
It also must have an mxfeed so that I can put the search box on loads of websites.

any suggestions?! thanks tim

Hello, there are many freeware scripts out there now that will allow you to get started, alot of the stuff you are asking for is just mods or addons to the scripting that is currently available. Many of the scripts are in various programming languages as well

Hope that helps with a start....

I have listed a few directory script software (http://www.directoryarchives.com/index.php?c=309) products in my Directory Archives site.

The one that seems to be the most commonly used today is the free PHP directory script (http://www.directory-search.org/directory_script.php).

You may also want to look at hotscripts (http://www.hotscripts.com/) to look for other software. Most software scripts can be purchased for $50 or less.
