When you said off page what does it mean???Is that the link building that I'm doing?

Yes, link building can be considered part of "Off Page" optimization but the reference is more the source of the off page links. Some examples being articles, press releases, forum, blog and video posting and social networking sites such as Facebook, MySpace, Linkedin, etc.
