Deep in the bowels of the SEO Consultants Directory, pageoneresults (aka Edward Lewis), upon having emerged from his self-admitted, self-imposed social marketing seclusion, has written an account of his impressions and adventures in making his first whirlwind entrance into the social marketing scene and exploration of the world of the social blogosphere.
The 21st Century Guestbook and the Sphinn Sphamm Challenge (http://www.seoconsultants.com/sphinn/sphamm/)
So, is he a phearless caped crusader phighting for sanity in a phrantic marketing world gone wild, or is he just having some phunn, with too much time on his hands? Is he phorreal?

He, he, he. Well, you know our Ed, when he gets a bee in his tin-phoill bonnet there's just no holding him back. I'm very interested as to what he's going to come up with after the initial sphinn sphamm phase of his analysis, though by that time he might want to lead line that bonnet.

Truthfully, and aside from the current phunn, it concerns me when I see sites ranking in the top SERPs for desirable keywords, who are using paid blog creation and posting services to elevate their rankings.
It would be fine and well if there was anything of substance, but it's just circular link-backs and cross-linking amongst blogs (and satellite doorway sites under the same ownership) created for the express purpose of providing backlinks and anchor text for the "parent site."
And it seems to be working very well.

Not much to add here accept that Marcia you have my kind of humor. I laughed so hard my co-workers were going to send me to the Phunny Pharm.
I already had my rant about Sphinn earlier this year on SEW which resulted in a number of lengthy posts from Danny and concluded with Danny and I agreeing that some offerings simply aint for everyone.

Looks like P1R's been terminated (http://sphinn.com/user/view/profile/pageoneresults). (His terms, Sphinn's terms?)
Wonder where Ed will pop up next now that he has even more time on his hands.

"Looks like P1R's been terminated."
Hey! I'm still alive! What are you talking about terminated? :)
"Wonder where Ed will pop up next now that he has even more time on his hands."
Tada! Nah, I'm just stopping in to say hello. Someone pinged me and told me to take a gander over here so I did. I come by every now and then and lurk.
Hey, is everyone a Moderator around here? ;)
