AdWords: Has Google lost its "Driving Wheel"

I don't know if this is true, but it's in todays NY Times..

If true, then perhaps the old folk song lyrics may be starting to apply to Google, "I feel like some old engine, lost my driving wheel". Is Google starting to show cracks in the facade? Thoughts?

Unlike the web, that article was on the front page of this morning's print edition. Appears that you have to be very, very well off to afford Google day care.

Google co-founder Sergey Brin said he had no sympathy for the parents, and that he was tired of “Googlers” who felt entitled to perks like “bottled water and M&Ms,” according to several people in the meeting.
Kind of strange coming from one of the folks who put outrageous perks in place in the first place.

Zero in down down down, right into the backyards of every American. So close and so clear are the pictures that you can see them sipping mint julip ice tea at their pool in "private". Now, hire a company to walk every street and take video and pictures of their front yards, their home and cars. Yes, lets invade personal privacy to the highest degree ever imagined and deem it all legal under public domain.
