JohnMu provided some interesting new information about the importance of XML Sitemap meta data in a post over on Google Groups. Sounds simple but he stresses the importance of using the same URL found in the user's path in your sitemap. You might think you are but, it's always worth checking to be sure! He also indicates that some meta data may be more important than XML Sitemap meta data that Google considers optional.
