I have been using WebPosition for years and I am wondering if there is a similar product that is web based. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

not really real familiar with WebPosition - but there are plenty of online tracking software - Google Analytics is one... Omniture, ClickTracks, WebTrends etc etc.... most of them are hosted solutions now

Thanks for the heads up, I tried the rank checker plugin for Firefox. Wow what used to be a $200 piece of software is now a free plugin, times do change!

From what I understand, WebPosition also allows you to track your organic rankings to help target keywords. For a comparable web based solution, you can also check out Advanced web rankings. It lets you track your rankings over time on a variety of engines, submit your site to search engines and target your keywords. The standard edition is $99.
For checking your rankings in different locations, Enquisite has a product that lets you check your rankings, paid and organic in every location and do deeper organic analysis.
As for firefox plugins, RedFlymarketing has a great plugin that lets you switch your location to perform searches in different countries - redflymarketing.com/blog/google-global-view-results-different-locations

Google analytics: fast, easy to install, not very advanced stats but good enough for most of the webmasters.
There's also a heavier tool called PHPmyVisites, tried it a long time ago: it is a heavy one.
