Well I consider this a Success for me & my Team. We created 212 Article Directory with the hope of making it one of the best article submission directories on internet.
Had some difficulties in the start to leave other projects aside and start working on this cause we faced " Tough Competition" we targeted two keywords "submit articles' and "submit free articles'
With huge competition we have now managed to come on 4th page of Google and I know the journey from here is going to be tough.
However, the reason of posting this thread is to involve all of you SEO gurus and find ways and means where we are lacking and what we need to do....
Do share your ideas and suggestions so that we could unleash the power of these forums and make this vision a reality.
Any suggestion and any help on this thread will be a source of strength for us.

Having been editing your post at the same time as AussieWebmaster I'm pretty sure you know what you have to do: Get quality backlinks for your targeted two keywords "submit articles' and "submit free articles" and variations thereof.

So I guess I should network with Guru's and Pro's and try to find out there secret ..
What do you suggest

Newbies at SEO? Forgive me if I'm totally off base, but doesn't Mark have an SEO blog?

You are exactly right, he does amongst other blogs & websites and perhaps he's the reason we have managed to come this far. But personally I think if we want to rule google page ranking we need to actively seek new ways to reach there and get all the help that we can, as the compitition in this Niche is real Tough. What do you think Jim

Well, first concentrate on getting better quality and better targeted links. Commenting all over the 'Net on blogs that use nofollow really isn't going to do much good, especially if the anchor text is Mark, Jessica or Alexa.
Next I'd tighten up your site navigation, way too many categories. Consolidate stuff where you can, consider the use of category pages. Health & Wellness can include Aging, Yoga, Fitness, Diet, etc. Business & Finance can include, well, you get the idea.
That should be enough to keep you busy for awhile.

There is a thread in LInk Building section entitled "Link Building 101"
That would surely enlighten you on some aspects of your query.
