When I look at the # of website hits we receive, how many should I count toward the Bots going through my site (just an average is fine)?

There's no magic number. It really depends how well linked your site is, and which directories, engines you have submitted to and been spidered by. My suggestion is that you get some cheap or even free visitor tracking software that filters out spider hits, or marks spider hits clearly, so that you know what the real visitor stats are.

Thanks for the answer and I'll look into the program and logs that we use to see if I can find the search bot hits. Never thought of that! Thanks!
