Hi, I have a small online store and have decided I need to refocus my business. I am narrowing my product focus but widening my market. As of right now I have pretty good rankings for my keywords in yahoo and google. I will need to change the name of the site so it is more friendly to my wider market. My question is, is there a way to keep my current rankings or will I need to start all over? If I can somehow redirect my current site to a new site or somehow inherit the rankings I think I would prefer that but if not I will sell it. I had a little interest in someone buying my site, but from what I just read, if the dns info changes the rankings will change; is this the case?

Buy a new domain name can impact if it has no age... but as far as the links to the old site they can be passed along... there the chart as it would if you started with nothingwill be a certain amount of drop but not off
