Hiya Guys,

I need help badly.

My client site deals in reservation software for Joomla!. We have been doing great, but now everything has slackened off.

Ive been hitting the keywords, trying to pull of the ones with most searches so I can then start optimizing our product pages and landing pages for these keywords.

Unfortunately, the keywords im finding dont appear to be getting the traffic. The products we do are car rental software, and hotel reservation software, and a general hire software like for tools etc.

Here are the keywords Ive found with there search volume:-
car rental software 5
fleet management software 95
vehicle fleet management 33
rental management software 4

I have tried other combinations too like car rental system, etc...The problem is im using Internet Business Promoter and im not sure if these search volumes it lists are monthly, weekly or daily!!!.

if somebody could give me a start on how to choose profitable keywords that would be great. maybe im being too specific ive thought about reservation software, but I was wondering it it would be better to get a listing on the pages I know we can get..

Please help
Neil

Depending on your budget, I might recommend doing PPC campaigns for the keywords you're considering before you re-optimize a site for them. Even running a 30-60 day test is enough to get a decent idea of what keywords and/or messaging might help convert your site better.

As far as researching the keywords themselves, it sounds like you're on the right track, but having niche products means finding the right niche keywords. If using more broad search terms means too much competition for too little targeted traffic, it's not usually worth the effort to pursue them. Instead, optimize for the keywords that you KNOW will convert when searched, even if the volume is low. From there, start looking at opportunities outside SEM to help you drive traffic. Using methods like blogging, advertising on industry sites, social media, etc. are all great options to start driving more traffic.

Assuming the keywords you're using are relevant to your product offerings, I think you're doing just fine with the SEO part of your marketing plan. Once you're sure it's been as fine-tuned as it can get for those keywords, take a look at branching out to other marketing avenues.

You'd be better off emailing all potential clients, then telemarketing them all, in conjuction with some seo and sem campaigns to increase overall business. I work for a leading global travel tech company in Australia we never advertise online. I have a similar problem with keywords for our niche destination sites, when it comes to get organic traffic. When we do get it, it converts like crazy though.

Think outside the SERP.

I have manuaaly cheked your keyword and they don't have much copetitions.I will suggest you to use your keyword properly.Like use in your keyword in first 100 word of description, put in page body content, use keyword as anchor text.
Best of luck...

Have you tried overture, wordtracker for keyword research? your keywords have less competition so you can take these keywords for optimization but you should do it properly means start with content content should be unique and make sure about keyword density. important keywords should be added in title tag and description tag.

Yes, wordtracker is the right way. Don't use PPC because you spend a lot of money, just do organic seo or naatural seo..
