Hi everyone, thanks for having me here. I hope to contribute as much as I can.

Question for the pros; on our company's site (We have a few international versions of our sites as well) the SERP are filtering to the foreign version of our site.

Basically, you Google our product item and our site does come up 1st, however it is the German version and not in English, and we are in the US.

A working theory was one of the Spiders was located in Germany, any idea?

It's not about where the spiders are, it's about where you are. If the main site has a .com name and is hosted in the US, you could expect the main site to come up first for a US searcher, all other things being equal. There isn't enough info given to say why that is not what's happening, but it could be that all other things are not equal.

Are all of the versions hosted in US, or where? What cctlds, subdomains etc. are used? How do you know it's not simply because of better optimization/links?

In addition to what JohnW said, are you returning different content based on geo ip of the user-agent by chance? If so you should treat search bots the same way you treat other users.
