Like JohnW said, it seems legit but as you point out it is hard to really know for sure. Just so you know, I considered both sides prior to my post and blog and decided that extra publicity couldn't hurt either way. The seller is verified by paypal for what it's worth.

That said, we have no reason to believe this auction is anything other than legit. In fact, I'd bid myself if I lived a little closer! I'm not sure anyone can police a vague restriction like "community friends" on Ebay. Maybe they can, don't know.

Ideally, I hope any extra buzz from my post results in driving up bids and increases $ for the kids!
