AllTheWeb used to be the most comprehensive backlink search available - is there another engine offering this facility?

(Don't say Google I know they don't provide anything really useful with their backlink search these days)

Yes, use Yahoo! Search.

to find all links to a specific URL type: link:http://www.domain.com/page.html (important to include the complete URL including HTTP).

to find all links to a general Domain Name type: linkdomain:www.domain.com
