Hi guys.
Anyone know why Google hates my site at http://www.mrlinsurance.co.uk
Up until the end of last year I had good rankings with Google but now I've been totally dropped, Check out this ranking report for wedding insurance key-phrases and wince at the Google column - http://www.gilkesy.co.uk/ranking/wedding/index.html
I know I'm not banned by Google as my site does appear if I type in the company name. However, even that doesnt turn up on the front page. It seems very strange that a search for "mrl insurance" ranks my site lower than other sites that have a lower page rank.
I must be doing something which trips their exclude filter for my chosen keywords.
One strange thing is that a number of my other sites all dropped out of Google at the same time (www.faxshot.com, www.club-shopper.co.uk). The obly site that retained a good ranking with Google was a copy of one of my sites that was stored on a different server.
Any thoughts?

you are only showing 20 backlinks in google with most of them being from your own site
http://www.google.com/search?q=link:http://www.mrlinsurance.co.uk/&num=100&hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&c2coff=1&safe=off&filter=0
in your internal linkage link to the home page with your primary keywords in the anchor text and try to get a few other sites to link to you with good optimized anchor text consisting of your primary keyword phrases

Its weird that Google only shows those 20 (mainly internal) backlinks as if i do a search on MRL Insurance I get quite a number of external sites with links to www.mrlinsurance.co.uk

If you have a look at the top ranked site for the phrase "uk wedding insurance" (http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=uk+wedding+insurance&ie=UTF-8&hl=en&meta=)
You get E&L Insurance. Now, if you have a look at their backlinks.
(http://www.google.co.uk/search?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=link:http%3A%2F%2Fwww%2Eeandl%2Eco%2Euk%2Fweddin g%2Dinsurance%2Ehtm)
They only have approx 50 backlinks and most of them are internal.
Yet they are ranked Number 1.

>>50 backlinks and most of them are internal.
You have to look further and deeper than that.
They have a lot of specifically topical deep-links to interior pages on their site. More than likely, aside from on-site optimization, that's the thing that's doing it for them.

u need to include 'insurance + target words (now is only link text). ;)
keyword = insurance
word = insurance
link follow = insurance
