Does anyone know if Amazon's ClickRiver (Amazon CPC program) is fed by other sources (Yahoo, Google, MSN)?

Our company has some 'sponsored links' showing and no one has any recollection of even setting up the program with ClickRiver. Either this was done by someone who's no longer with the company or Amazon is pulling ads from other sources. Any input?

I thought ClickRiver was Amazon's own program with proprietary listings (i.e. not pulled from Google or wherever), and companies had to apply and be accepted into the program. That said, they may be using Google as a backfill.

That's exactly what I thought and that's why I'm posting this here for everyone to educate themselves and others.

Update:
My company's investigation found that they are pulling our Google AdWords ad - Not from our Content Network. So, with some digging and asking our Google Rep, we now have confirmation that Amazon.com is part of Google's Search Partner community.

Amazon has done some reworking since the first of the year. I loved the Clickriver PPC ads in Amazon.com as we did quite well with them, but Amazon is rolling out a new program, but is only allowing sign ups in certain categories at this point.

Last I heard, Clickriver was being reinvented as a services advertising platform rather than for products. They might have dropped that altogether and started running Adsense ads.

Bummer.
