Yes, this keyword space is very competitive. But, try this..
1) First, make sure your ad gets a good QS by including the keyword in the headline, and making sure the keyword is in the landing page content and in the landing page title tag.
2) Then, bid just enough so your ad is about halfway down on the right side. Do not attempt to get a top or high position.
3) Wait a few days until Google's QS settles down for your ad and see where you finally rank.

Dakeshs,
the travel model is a simple one. You shouldn't pay more in click charges than you earn in commission or fees. Most bids for generic items top out at $1 or 50p. Simply because if you earn $20 in commission you've got to convert at 2.5% or 1:40 of all your clicks. The higher bids are reserved for luxury items such as cruises.
Focus on a niche where you think you've got real expertise.

we need a lot more information to start with.
are those the minimum bids for the first page or are those your actual "minimum bids"?
are you referring to rental cars?
have you looked at bidding costs by region?
you've got to segment my friend....segment is the key

Hello Dakeshs,
I just wanted to jump in with a few quick comments. I have created a new account of Hotels & Cars but the biding on hotel & car keywords are $5 & 1$10, I can not afford these bids.
I'd be willing to wager that you are referring to Minimum Bids here, rather than your actual CPC.
If so, you are almost certainly seeing these high minimum bids as the result of a poor quality score applied to the keywords - as the AdWords system evaluates the quality of those keywords in relation to their ads and landing pages.
Lots more information on this subject (the understanding of which is key to success with AdWords in my opinion) may be found in the AdWords Help Center. I've linked to two of many Help Center topics below as a good starting point:
* Quality-Based Minimum Bids
http://adwords.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=49177
Excerpting from that page: [...] Minimum prices are based on the quality and relevance of the keyword, its ad, and associated landing page. This minimum price is called a minimum cost-per-click bid (CPC bid). This pricing model favors higher quality ads by requiring lower minimum CPC bids for them to enter the auction. Lower quality ads require higher minimum CPC bids.
* What is a 'Quality Score' and how is it calculated?

Also, here is a page with some-best practices which may help improve both Landing Page Quality score, and user experience on your site:

Thanks Everybody,
I don't have a proper landing pages, we are working on that.
$1, $5 & $10 is the minimum bid to activate the keyword.
i am using the search term in Title & descriptions, also using the Diynamic keyword insertion but still not getting good number of clicks, so the CTR is poor.
