Yesterday I published a Search Day article regarding Super Bowl Advertiser URL Visibility (http://searchenginewatch.com/showPage.html?page=3628342). Today the second in the series should be up soon, rating the advertisers' SEO strength (http://searchenginewatch.com/showPage.html?page=3628357), and this thread will serve as a discussion location for both articles.
Please share your thoughts and opinions as to the Super Bowl advertiser performance from an online marketing perspective here.

Great article, Chris - I agreed with your points that most advertisers are still missing the boat when it comes to getting the most search mileage out of their million-dollar Super Bowl ad buy.
Incidentally, my family had the same reaction as you did to the Under Armor ad: "Under Armor makes shoes?!?" :)

I don't know what it did in other markets, but at least in NYC Careerbuilder.com reinforced it's Super Bowl ad(s) with a pretty big transit advertising buy. That's a pretty smart -- and comparatively inexpensive -- way to keep the url in front of folks' eyeballs after paying two point something million for 30 seconds of time.

wow cool Jim that is a smart move it would seem. Were the transit ads similar in theme to the TV spots? How prominent was the call to action...did they offer any incentive to visit the site?
Thanks Mel and Frank. the SEO article is live now and I just added the link above.
