Hello all,

I'm trying to find info on tools out there that can help research competitive keywords, and more specifically, help determine what the competition is bidding and spending in paid search. Does anyone have any experience with tools like this, or can direct me to a few to check out?

Thanks!

I'll second SpyFu, though be careful about trusting their data too much. I've seen many inconsistencies that would be hard to catch if you didn't know the industry/company pretty well.

Other options for competitive research are:

Alexa.com
Compete.com
AdGooRoo.com (paid tool)
QuantCast.com

I have a follow up on this question: Does anyone know of a way to block your competitors from researching the keywords and ads you are bidding on using these tools?

My boss mentioned that someone told her you can do this with KeyCompete, but it doesn't make much sense to me that they'd let you do this since you have to pay for their service. Are there any tools like SpyFu or KeyCompete that let you protect your data?

Thanks.

Why doesn't your friend post a link to his tool in the beta section and get a bunch of people reviewing it
