improving adsense return

what can I do to my site: http://www.memphisbluessociety.com/ to help improve the effectiveness of my adsense campaign -- it seems to be pretty thorough, traffic is good -- my adsense has just been slow as of recent -- like a dropoff on clicks

change your layout... place a 300x250 at the top right of articles... try a 726x90 at top of home page and add another in the middle of the page... maybe make the font of your copy bigger

hmmm I've got the 728/90 at the top and bottom of the page --- are you saying to move it to within the design framerwork rather than at top center / bottom center

on news articles, I've got 468X60 in the content - middle of any news

font size is not an issue to change - it's all css driven

that was a stupid css issue on my part did more shuffling and fixed that

I don't really like the leaderboard ad at the very top of the page. When I load your site, the first thing that catches my eye is "Welcome to the Mephis Blues Society" in big letters. Put AdSense where that is, in the white content area, where the eye is first focused.

thanks everybody -- I've seen a jump from 5-20 cents per day to $1-$3 per day --- am always tuning --- just wasn't paying enough attention to my own housekeeping

Remember that adsense numbers always fluctuate.... working towards raising the base numbers will boost where they can possibly jump

Also seems like the 300x250 boxes are paying better these days. I had 336 x 228 up and they weren't doing much for me. I switched and Im getting more targeted ads and CPM is way up!

Its funny, I had a 336x228 box and was doing quite well. I changed to 300x250 and eCPM multiplied by 4. But just one day. Now is below 336x228.

Later I removed a second box, hoping only high bet ads will show. Nothing. Explanation? Thanks.
