Who here got a holiday gift from Google this year? I've always gotten one previous years, but despite making loads more in 2007, no gift for me.
What do you think Google's cutting back of who gets the gift means? Making only the links clickable vs the entire ad unit ... smart pricing publishers ... ditching their "Advertise on this Site" feature ... it seems like Q4 2007 has been showing that Google doesn't care much about us publishers. What are they going to do to make it up to us?

For someone who's awfully chatty in person, you can certainly afford to offer a better response than just that. :)
Lots of changes all in 2007 really killed it for us publishers. Do you think that it's going to affect the AdSense market share? The only thing they've got going for them right now is that YPN requires contextual exclusivity, which basically rules out any form of targeting advertising.

Sorry, but just trying to say that I'm trying to get discussions flowing in some of the lesser frequented forums that I'm interested in, and your post isn't being conducive to a lengthy discussion about the future of AdSense as far as publishers are concerned. <hint hint>
