View Full Version : In-House Paid
Checker

Hello,
I work for a company that currently uses an agency for paid search. Paid search currently accounts for about 45% of the business. # of clicks each month is in the 300-400k range.
I was wondering what the expenses would be if we wanted to take this in-house? Expenses including the bid management tool, start-up/integration costs, technical costs, and # of employees necessary to pull off an in-house program.
Any help? Thanks.

Good analytics will round 50-100k a year, staff well you get one really great person to run it - he costs 150k or more - otherwise you hired middle guys at say $50-65k each - 2 or 3 of them.
Bid management - that will run about $25k a year minimum.
Then you start your spends... less experienced will cost more in beginning and then bring it down.

omniture is pricey but rad.
why are you paying guys 150K for?! is that USD or AUS $?
two guys one to run analytics and one to manage CPC ads should total 100K - then give then a % on their performance. then have them hire interns or recent graduates and build the team. 2 extra at 34-36K per year,
total solution costs you 200K USD ish then your cost for marketing (the ads and CPC click amounts). in online gaming we'd do a lot of CPC crap, you'd think they'd try to stop it but you can't stop ninjas :P
aussie is pretty close he has a different opinion than me but you can at least consider what we've hired on a north american west coast salary band etc. Aussie, are you in USA or AUS?
