Is love going to last forever?
It all depends on how you define forever. If you define forever as, say, the next 3 to 5 years, there's a big chance Google will still be there. From then on, there's too many strategic decisions to be made that can ruin or boost Google. And there's also their ad revenue system. You know, if you put all of your eggs in one basket and that basket falls, you're left broke. Google knows it and is tying to cut its dependence, if they succeed they'd be around for more than five years for sure, if they don't, they'd be for as long as the other SE and ad servers don't catch up.
