Is it me? I'm actually seeing Yahoo!'s home page PR as 9/10. It used to be 10/10 i think. can anyone confirm?

Ok. I checked it with SEOchat's PR tool and it shows 9/10 across all DCs.

Many pages have dropped a point (there are a number of threads across multiple forums)

but really, who cares? ;-)

thanks Nick, however some do care and some do not, anyway, is this drop from the last update or from the last but one?

A lot of people care and enjoy discussing PR and algos; that's why Google forums get so much traffic. ;)

bobmutch posted about it here, I'm not sure about the exact timing:

It's worth repeating that one of the reasons it's important is that periodically there's an across-the-board PR drop and some webmasters, if they don't know it, might think there's a problem with their site when there really isn't.

Ya Yahoo had them front page drop from a PR10 to a PR9 on Oct 5th. Check out Page Rank 10 Sites (http://www.seocompany.ca/pagerank/page-rank-10-sites.php) for the 11 domains that lost them 1 and only PR10 page. This time around there was only one new domain that picked up a PR10, that was www.google-store.com (http://www.google-store.com) .

If you want to see teh 37 pages that dropped off there is a link to PR 10 Pages on the Page Rank 10 Sites page.
