:) Hello everybody.
quick introduction. We are a reservations portal, situated in Rome. (dont know if it's allowed to put the url here...else i would..)
About to finish the portal itself, now wish to soon set up our own affiliate network, using some existing software to save time.
Unfortunately we re pretty ignorant in the matter and still in teh process of setting up an internal Internet Marketing Dep.
For now...i have looked at www.affiliateshop.com
Does anybody have any experience with that programm, or can suggest another one???

Thanks..
Alfred

Affiliate marketing requires more than a program... you must support your affiliates... create good promotional materials, offer assistance via email and chat, even phone calls....

you need to work with them... help with education, keep them motivated, etc.

yes. that's appreciated (you just replied my other thread about penalties as well...)
nevertheless, we have to start with the software.
while we are speaking, we are also putting together a team of people to do just that...work WITH the affiliate system, answer phonecalls..etc..etc..

The problem with our situation is that originally the company was founded by braslian friend of mine (located in Brasil) and myself, in Rome.
he was the programmer, i was the hotelowner.
Together in the evening hours we put together the portal.
Now one year ago, new partners have joined, and financing, but non of them has any particular internet related skills.

So now are at the stage where the portal itself is nearly finished and need to start Phase 2...start working WITH the system, find the knowledge and people to do so...etc..

meanwhile, trying to learn stuff ourselves, hence the question about teh affilite system, but really we got a million questions to ask still...
