As you all know the report tab in Adwords has had a bit of a rework recently. I've personally found it to be mostly good except for one thing.

I have a couple of reports generated daily, but only one emailed to me, the reason being that as an attachment, you could only save the report and not rename it. The rest of the reports, I generate on demand, by clicking "Run", but since the updates, once a report has been completed, when you click on it, you will be forced to view data and graphs. You can still save your reports, but the links are in javascript and there is no option to rename the reports. So you end up having multiple "reports.csv"

I have sent Google feedback regarding this issue, and expressing that the new layout actually prohibits users from saving to another name and forcing users to view graphs, but was told that "that's the way the system works". Feedback goes down the drain.

How do you like the new layout?

From the report center, you can click on the report name then click on the export report tab then click on .csv(for Excel) and then save the report as whatever name you like.

If you don't have the option to change the report names, then you might have to adjust your browser settings.

Now, why didn't I thought of that :o. Thank you for the reminder.

It just goes to show that a reply in this forum beats a couple of incomprehensible replies from Google support.
