Trademark & organic search

I was wondering if I use ^TM for our product which is named XYZ Keyword1, how will it affect search results? Do search engines consider TM. Currently we are no.1 in search results.

Also keyword1 happens to be a generic term. Will we have to write the whole name in quotes like 'XYZ keyword1(TM)' or will XYZ keyword1(TM) work as well?
