Hi All, I am fairly new to seo and just joined the forum. Hoping for some help me with re-directs.

I have a main ecommerce website that ranks ok for my main keywords. I have now set up several other domains relating to categories on my main site, on which I am running Wordprss Blogs (with a little content). These new Wordpress sites are now getting great rankings for their specific areas.

I have linked to my ecommerce site from the blogs (using different c class for all), but I am wondering if re-directs would help me in any way.

1) If I just do a 301 re-direct from the blog to the relevant category on my ecommerce site will I get any penalty?

2) Would a 302 for a short period of time give any penalty (duplicate content or any other)?

3) Would I just be better sticking with the blogs and getting the link juice!

Thanks for any help!

1. No penalty but I can't really think of an advantage either.

2. No duplicate but the "source URL" may be indexed as "target" content.

3. Stick with the blogs and/or make great new content at your ecommerce URL.
