clone site of my domain

I have domain ; 1clickbackup.com BUT someone has made clone of this same like our site and it looks like that there is some program for this. The clone site of mine is 1hitbackup.com

Pls tell me what is system behind this spam stuff and will the search engines harm me?

There are a ton of sites/software packages that can mirror/clone/scrape a whole site. I am not going to name any because it will not help you and yes it "may" harm your seo efforts.

I only looked briefly but is this your own software on your website?

Yes, it is possible to create a clone of a particular site by using some softwares...
What you should do as the first priority - report this issue to major search engines asap...
Your site is pretty older then the clone site, major search engines will definitely give priority to your site if you approach them in a right way.

This is a very low tactic somebody is employing.
it seems that it could be one of your competitors, who has registered this domain under a Private Registration service so there name is hidden..

and then they have cloned your site.
Except lots of bits dont work, like download.php for example, because they obviously dont have your mysql database ;)

BUT,..this will definately cause you a lot of problems in terms of duplicate content if you do not get it stopped asap.

As the above poster has said, I would report this to the major Search engines asap and possibly write to the secure name hosting company complaining about this fraud site :eek:

Personally if it was me I would hack the F**kers site totally screw them up, illegal but hay it would be my livlyhood they are screwing with, with no second thought for me, besides a hacked up site would counter them screwing you.

This is totally illegal and I would not advice people to do it. Doubt they would complain though as they stole your site in the first place.

Extreme measure however you should do as above post and report them. Besides if they don't have your DB it probley wont take Google long to filter it out.

PS - I am an ethical hacker/SEO only, the only sites I have ever hacked is my own,friends and family for penatration testing only. All of which I had permission to do before hand.
