Are Surfers Using The "Advanced Search" Options - or - Just Rewording Their Searches

Are the "Advanced" Search Options being used by a sizable number of people
or do most surfers just reword their query if the SERPs don't measure up. ;)

Does any one really take the time to respond to Google's Feedback request on any irrelevant SERPs - or - are just SEOs using it, if their rankings aren't satisfactory? :confused:

Personally, I do not use the advanced search option on google. I tend to reword my search if i am not satisfied with the results. Also, I see other people doing this, so I would believe that most people just reword thier searches, making the advanced search option unused and possibly unneccessary.

I'm told that about 2% of searches are 'advanced.' This seems to be in line with anecdotal information gathered over the years.

I rephrase my keywords, and it always works better than the power/advanced search.
