I am very new to SEO. I just have completed my website and hosted 2 days back.

Can anyone suggest me what are the steps do I need to follow to get enlisted to yahoo/google or other. I know I will not get high ranking at this point of time. But do I have to do something in order to list them in the search engines or they will automatically find my website?

This is my website (I am really sorry if this is not permitable here to show websites, I request mods to delete if so or I will edit)

Please guide me how can I bring my site good traffic.

Thank You.

Let the search engines find you by following links from other websites - don't waste your time submitting your site

With a new site take it slow. I would recommend investing some money on some paid directory submissions such as dir.yahoo.com and spending some time submitting to dmoz etc.

With Yahoo, make sure you read the guidelines and don't mess them about. They can potentially keep your cash and reject you.

With Dmoz, open the site in 2 tabs, browse to where you would like to be in both and submit from one. Use the other to craft your own listing based on what others have done (and got away with). Then forget..... Dmoz can take 6 months or 3 days depending on where you submit.

Stick a Google Sitemap up and consider G Analytics.

Finally, promote your site to the world. Press releases, announcements on blogs etc. Do it properly and professionally. Short cuts lead to shortfalls.

My god I don't believe I just wrote that :D I'm officially in holiday mode.
