Hi,

I have a site with mirrored content set up like this...

http://www.company.com
http://company.com
http://product.company.com

I have heard that if not set up correctly from an SEO perspective, it would not be as powerful as if the search engine saw only one site. I'm don't handle the technical aspects of the web site and I'm not sure if my site is set up properly for this with redirects or whatever. Without explaining this to me, could someone provide a link that I could send to my web people that explains exactly how this situation should be handled so the search engines don't split our SEO "power" (for lack of a better term) into our mirrored domains?

Thanks,
Chris

Sounds like you might have a "duplicate content" issue.

You should redirect the other two URLs to the www version using a 301 redirect ASAP!

Thanks beu, I think that should help. I'm not positive thats exactly what we're doing, but that is good info to pass along, either way.

On another note, I just did a search for "mirrored domain seo" and this thread came up #1 in Google... wow, that was quick!
